Invocation of the Great Compassionate Heart Dharani of the Thousand-Handed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, Vast, Perfect, and Unobstructed
I bow to Avalokiteshvara’s great compassionate mantra, whose vow’s power is vast and deep, whose form is auspicious
Adorned with a thousand arms protecting and supporting, illuminating all with a thousand eyes of light
Speaking truthfully from a wholesome and secret heart, a heart of compassion arising from non-action
Swiftly fulfilling all wishes and vows, eternally extinguishing the obstructions of sin and karma
Protected by dragons, devas, and child-guardians, perfected through hundreds of thousands of samadhis
Held in the body, it becomes a banner of light; held in the mind, it becomes a treasury of spiritual power
Washing away all defilements and crossing the ocean of suffering, it is the skillful gateway to attaining enlightenment
I now praise it and take refuge in it, that all my wishes may be perfectly fulfilled from the heart
